Dungeons and Dragons: Abaddon

Getting back into the old Dungeons & Dragons shindig calls for a new character! Dragonborn, of course. I love me some badass-looking draconid persons.
This sketch was more to figure out his facial anatomy than anything because Black Dragons in the D&D universe look quite... interesting!

A bit of story:

Descended of the interestingly-faced chromatic Black Dragons, notorious for ill temper, savagery and malevolence, this striking fellow by the name of Abaddon certainly is ill-tempered, but he does not endorse the mindless cruelty attributed to his species. He, in fact, loathes those Dragons (and from that, does not take kindly to Dragons as a rule) and any who delight in deliberate maliciousness. Raised by a human mother, of whom he treasures her memory, Abaddon is ever seeking to get in touch with the gentler side of existence.

Of course, having a rather terrifying face as his, it can't do wonders for first impressions. Scorn and ostracizement from his peers did turn him into a bitter, hot-tempered bully. And perhaps his path would've gone down a darker route had he not been plucked off the streets and enlisted into a local presitigous military academy, where he spent the remaining youthful years of his life reshaping himself under the cutting-edge discipline and demanding endurance of the army, which he considers the best years of his life.

While still quick-tempered, prone to rash decision, and more than capable of extreme and merciless violence in the heat of the moment, Abaddon is also brutally loyal to those who've earned his trust and who can look past his horrifying visage to see that he's more than a monster. Still quite young among Dragonborn, he has a lot yet to learn, particularly concerning the more humane approach to life. But he's proven himself an adept Fighter, which is just as well, as his first adventure is proving to be quite the crazy ride!
